How can I make a bank GBP and EUR transfer from my account?

You can send EUR to SEPA countries and GBP transfers via Faster Payments to UK directly from wamo account.

  • Navigate to Send from your wamo account dashboard

  • Tap Recipients to make a transfer to an external bank account

  • Choose which sub-account you would like to make the transfer from

  • Select an existing recipient or tap Add new recipient - select if they are an Individual or Business, the Country, Currency and enter their Name and IBAN.

Ensure that the recipient's details are correct and the bank/country supports the transfer. Once you have submitted the transfer, it cannot be cancelled.

How long do transfers take?

For EUR transfers:

  • If the counter party bank or institution supports the SEPA Instant Credit Transfer scheme like us, then SEPA transfers will take under 10 seconds.

  • If they do not support SEPA Instant, SEPA transfers will take 1-2 business days.

For GBP transfers via faster Payments, the transfer is usually instant but can take up to 2 hours.

Can I exchange currencies?

You can exchange EUR and GBP in your wamo account by sending an internal transfer between sub-accounts. For example, to convert EUR to GBP, you can make a transfer from a EUR sub-account to a GBP sub-account.

Additionally, we support the G10 currencies for outbound transfers, meaning you can send money to an account that is in one of the following currencies: EUR, GBP, USD, AUD, CAD, JPY, NZD, NOK, SEK, CHF.

At the moment you can only receive inbound transfers in EUR or GBP.

Which countries can I send money to?

There might be restrictions to send and receive money from certain countries. Please contact our team via our live support chat to have the most up to date information on the country for which you wish to receive or make a payment.

Are there limits to what can be transferred into my wamo account?

There are no limits, given that the required documentation is provided.

How can I schedule a recurring transfer?

Yes you can schedule a recurring transfer, like monthly salary payments or supplier payments.

After selecting the recipient you wish to send money to, you will see a calendar icon when entering the amount to send. Select this and follow the instructions to complete the transfer.

Can I make bulk transfers?

We do not currently offer bulk transfers. Please give us your feedback if this is something essential to your business and we will implement this as soon as possible.
