You can receive international payments into your account in EUR or GBP. Nevertheless, the sender can send the funds in EUR, GBP or USD. All USD payments will be converted to either EUR or GBP and credited to your account, as we don't currently offer local USD accounts.

*This article covers how you can receive international payments into your sub-account with an LT IBAN, for business registered in the EU. If you wish to receive an international payment in GBP into your sub-account with a GB IBAN, the sender can send the payment directly to your account. How receiving international payments works

  1. The sender will first need to send the payment in either EUR, GBP or USD to one of our pool accounts (you can find the details for all 3 options below)

  2. If applicable, we will exchange the currency and then have the funds sent to your desired sub-account

If you have multiple sub-accounts, we will reach out to you to confirm which sub-account you would like the funds to be deposited into. If you prefer, you may also contact us at support@wamo.io beforehand to let us know which sub-account the funds should be deposited into.

Please note that the sender must include your wamo account name in the payment reference field (the company name the account was opened for).

*In December, the process of receiving international payments will be fully automated and significantly improved. This 2-step process is an interim solution to be able to still provide you with this option.
