If you've been contacted by us about a cashback campaign, these FAQs will explain how the campaign works and what card transactions are eligible for cashback.

How does the cashback work?

The cashback amount for the expenses you made within a month will be deposited into your account during the first week of the second following month.

For example:

  • You selected grow plan in 12 April 2024.

  • All the eligible card transactions between 12 April 2024 and 30 April 2024 will accumulate cashback.

  • The cashback you've accumulated in April will be automatically credited to your account in first week of June 2024.

  • All the eligible card transactions between 1 May 2024 and 31 May 2024 will accumulate cashback.

  • The cashback you've accumulated in May will be automatically credited to your account in first week of July 2024.

The cashback will be credited in GBP (£) if your company is incorporated in the United Kingdom, and in EUR (€) If your company is incorporated in the EEA or Switzerland.

Which card transactions are eligible for cashback?

Our cashback Campaign will apply to all of your settled (or cleared) card transactions made with any physical or virtual wamo card connected to your account (and any one of your sub-accounts).

Cashback will not apply on the following types of transactions:

  • ATM cash withdrawals

  • Temporary holds

  • Chargebacks

  • Card receive transactions (for example, refunds to your card)

  • Inbound transfers to your wamo account made by you or any third party

  • Outbound transfers from your wamo account, including any fees for using your account (for example, your monthly subscription fee)

The same list can be found in our T&Cs, along with the rest of the cashback terms.

What happens if my card transaction is refunded?

Any card transactions that are refunded will not be eligible for cashback. Instead, the refund amount will be deducted from the total eligible transaction amount used to calculate your cashback for that month.

Are there other cases when I will not be able to earn cashback?

If your account is closed, either by you or by us, any cashback that you have accumulated in that same monthly period will not be credited to your account. This excludes any cashback previously credited to your account.

Similarly, if your account is frozen due to a breach in our T&Cs, any cashback that you have accumulated in that same monthly period will not be credited to your account until the issue has been resolved. Once resolved, then the cashback will be credited to your account shortly after (not a month later on the next cashback payout date).
