A POS rebate is a reimbursement of eligible local consumer card processing fees under the POS Allowance Campaign, which is available on selected wamo plans.
If you are enrolled, your eligible processing fees are charged as normal when your card payments settle. Those fees are then paid back into your wamo account on the next business day (T+1) as a separate incoming transfer.
Who is eligible
The POS Allowance Campaign is open to new and existing wamo business customers who hold a valid business account and take payments on a wamo POS terminal.
Business type | Plan requirement |
Companies | A subscription of €49.99 per month or higher |
Sole traders | A subscription of €9.99 per month or higher |
Only local consumer cards (individually issued EU cards) qualify. Business, corporate, Amex and other card types are not eligible for a rebate.
The campaign runs until 31 December 2026 unless wamo extends or ends it earlier.
How the payout works
We operate on a T+1 payout schedule. Eligible processing fees charged on one business day are reimbursed to your account on the following business day, as a separate incoming transfer.
For example:
On Monday, you pay €10 in eligible local consumer card processing fees.
Your card payments settle as normal, on the standard T+1 settlement schedule.
On Tuesday, you receive a separate incoming transfer of €10 to your wamo account, reimbursing the fees charged on Monday.
Transactions taken on a Saturday or Sunday are processed on Monday, so both the settlement and the rebate follow the Monday run.
Your rebate is separate from your settlement
Your card sales and your rebate arrive as two different incoming transactions. The settlement is your takings; the rebate is the refund of the processing fees on those takings. You will see both on your statement, usually one after the other. This is why the amounts will not match your daily sales figure — the rebate is only ever the fee portion.
Tracking your monthly free limit in the app
Your remaining allowance is shown in the wamo app, so you always know how much commission-free volume you have left this month.
Open the POS tab in your wamo business app.
Scroll to the Monthly free local transactions. The progress bar shows how much of your allowance you have used — for example, €5,000/€10,000.
Tap the card to open the full breakdown.
The breakdown screen shows four figures:
Figure | What it means |
Monthly free local transactions | Eligible sales volume used out of your monthly allowance, and the date your current allowance period ends |
Paid fees | Processing fees charged to you so far, across all POS terminals |
Fees will be refunding | The portion of those fees that will be rebated to you under the campaign |
All time earnings | Total POS takings settled to your account to date |
You can also filter your POS figures by 1D, 1W, 1M or 6M at the top of the POS tab, and open Reports, Payouts or Settings from the same screen.
The allowance resets for each new period, for as long as the campaign runs and your account remains eligible.
What is not rebated
Refunds, chargebacks and reversed transactions — these are excluded from the calculation. See [Link: What is a chargeback on a POS payment?]
Payments taken on business, corporate, Amex or non-EU issued cards.
Fees on volume beyond your monthly limit or total cap.
Transactions that do not settle successfully.
Rebates are applied to the eligible account only. They cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
My rebate hasn't arrived
Check the timing. Rebates arrive the next business day, so fees charged on a Friday are rebated on Monday.
Look for a separate incoming transfer rather than an adjustment to your settlement amount. See [Link: Statements and payment confirmations]
Check your monthly free limit in the app — if it is already used up, no rebate is due.
Check the card types you accepted that day. Business, corporate and Amex payments are not eligible.
If everything looks eligible and the transfer is still missing after the next business day, contact us in the in-app chat with the date and the fee amount, and we will trace it.
