A wamo business account is available to registered businesses in the United Kingdom.

This refers to the country where your company is registered, not the nationality or residence of directors or UBOs/shareholders. For more information on the eligibility of directors or shareholders, please refer to our list of Prohibited & sanctioned jurisdictions.

If unclear about your eligibility, please reach out to us via chat or email at support@wamo.io.

Why is wamo now only available to UK businesses?

Our customers’ satisfaction has always been our top priority ever since we started supporting businesses in 2018. We’ve come a long way since then, giving us the opportunity to serve so many more businesses across Europe and the UK. While this has been an exciting journey for us and all the businesses that continue to trust us, we’ve come to a critical point where we have to prioritise the experience of our existing customers.

This is precisely why we are making the tough decision to put a brief pause on opening new accounts for businesses registered in Europe. We are still accepting all applications from UK-registered businesses, including those through our UK Company Formation service if you are interested in starting a business in the UK.

Instead of continuing to expand and potentially compromising on the value we provide to our customers, we have decided to focus on improving the quality of our service and expanding our product offering for the near future. Stay tuned!
