Funding your wamo business account

Managing your business capital should be as seamless as spending it. We offer three secure, integrated ways to add funds to your account, allowing you to choose the method that best fits your operational speed.

How to Get Started

From your Home Dashboard, simply tap + Add money to view your options. You can begin funding your account the moment your application is approved and active.

1. Bank Transfers: Global Connectivity
Receive funds from another bank account directly into your wamo account using your dedicated IBAN or account details.

SEPA & SWIFT: We support Instant SEPA for rapid European transfers and automated SWIFT payments for international business across 50 eligible countries.

Timing: While we initiate transfers instantly, they may take up to one business day to arrive, depending on the processing times of the sending and receiving banks.

2. Apple Pay: Secure & Instant Setup
Add funds with a single tap using any card securely stored in your Apple Wallet. It’s the second fastest way after Bank transfers to bridge your personal or external business funds into your wamo ecosystem.

3. Credit or Debit Card Top-Up
Enter your external card details directly to move money into your account. This is a convenient alternative for immediate business needs.

Understanding Settlement Times

To ensure we can offer card and Apple Pay top-ups without additional fees, we process these settlements on a strategic schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

A top-up is never settled on the same day it is made.

Every top-up is settled on the next scheduled settlement day that comes after the day of the top-up. The day the top-up is made is not itself a settlement day for that top-up, even if it falls on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.

For example, a top-up made on a Monday is settled on Wednesday, not on that same Monday.

Examples

  • Top up by debit card on Monday at 09:00 → funds available on Wednesday.

  • Top up by Apple Pay on Wednesday at 22:00 → funds available on Friday.

  • Top up on Friday, Saturday or Sunday → funds available on the following Monday.

Benefit: This scheduled approach allows us to keep your top-up experience cost-efficient while maintaining high security.

Before troubleshooting a delayed or missing transfer, confirm the sending and receiving countries appear on the Payments – supported countries list. If either is not listed, the transfer is not supported and cannot be investigated.

Our Digital-First Commitment

At wamo, our mission is to empower businesses through digital innovation. For this reason, we do not accept cash or cheque deposits. By focusing on digital-first payments, we ensure your financial management remains fast, transparent, and simple to use from anywhere in the world.

Cheques and paper payment slips
We cannot cash or redeem paper payment slips, cheques, money orders or bank drafts — including an utbetalningsavi from the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket). Money can only reach your wamo account as an electronic transfer to your IBAN.
If a tax authority or other payer can't send an electronic transfer, redeem the paper slip at a bank that handles those payouts, then move the funds to wamo by bank transfer.
