Prohibited and sanctioned jurisdictions

wamo does not onboard customers connected to the countries listed below, and does not process transactions to or from them. This applies regardless of the reason a country is on the list.

This is a blanket restriction. It means we cannot:

  • open an account for a business registered in one of these countries

  • onboard a business whose directors or shareholders are nationals or residents of one of these countries

  • process payments to or from these countries, including from existing wamo accounts
