What is the Promotion about?
wamo is offering existing customers the opportunity to earn a referral reward (the “Reward”) in the form of cash credited to their main account balance. To earn the Reward, you must refer to a registered company (the “Invitee”) based within the European Economic Area (EEA) to sign up for a wamo business account.
Important: This promotion is exclusively for referring companies. Referrals for sole trader or freelancer accounts are not eligible for a Reward.
Who is eligible to refer? You are eligible to participate if you have an active wamo account and have received a referral invitation via:
A promotional tile on your wamo app home screen.
Your unique referral link located in your Profile section.
The Promotion is available for a limited time (the “Promotion Period”). Rewards are only paid if both the Referrer and the Invitee meet all criteria within this timeframe.
What do you need to do to earn a Reward?
Once you have access to your referral link, follow these steps:
Share your link: Send your unique referral link (found in your Profile or via the in-app invite) to a company representative.
Ensure they use your link: The Invitee must click your unique link to start their application for the referral to be tracked.
Stay within limits: We will specify the maximum number of successful referrals you can be paid for in your specific invite. Referrals exceeding this limit will not be eligible for additional Rewards.
What does your Invitee need to do?
For you to receive the Reward, your Invitee must complete the following:
Successful Onboarding: Successfully open a wamo business account for the first time using your unique link.
Account Top-up: The Invitee must top up their own new wamo account and pay their first monthly subscription fee.
Card Spending: The Invitee must make a specific number of genuine card purchases (using a virtual or physical wamo card) of a minimum required amount.
Excluded Transactions: Card transactions to payment/money transfer providers, gambling/casinos, gift card providers, or currency exchange services do not count toward the spending requirement.
Legal Provisions
One-sided Campaign: Only the referring customer receives the Reward; the Invitee does not receive a cash bonus unless specifically stated otherwise in a separate campaign.
Active Status: You must maintain an active account (not restricted or suspended) to receive your payout.
Right to Reverse: wamo reserves the right to reverse Rewards if we identify a breach of terms or material abuse (e.g., orchestrating "fake" sign-ups that are not genuine businesses).
Taxes: You are solely responsible for any local income tax obligations arising from the receipt of a Reward.
Jurisdiction: These terms are governed by the laws of Malta.
