Following our recent transition to our new banking partner, Banking Circle, EU-based wamo customers can now receive international SWIFT payments into their EUR or GBP accounts across 24 different currencies.

How to receive a payment

1. Share your new LU IBAN

Provide your payees with your updated wamo LU IBAN (starting with the LU country code). These new IBANs, issued through Banking Circle, are specifically tailored to international transactions.

2. Share the Banking Circle BIC code

Share the BIC code BCIRLULL with your payees. The BIC code acts as a global “address” for the bank, ensuring all payments reach the correct financial institution.

3. Receive payments in local currencies

When you receive a payment, our system will automatically convert it into the account currency. No action is required.

Note: The foreign exchange (FX) conversion rate includes a wamo parity fee of 0.4%.

Eligibility

This feature is exclusive to EU-based wamo customers with Banking Circle accounts. If you are unsure about your eligibility, our Support Team is here to assist you. Get in touch through the wamo website live chat, the in-app chat, or at support@wamo.io.

If you’re not an EU-based wamo customer, but you’d like to explore receiving payments in additional currencies, you may be eligible for other options. Please read this Help Center article to learn more.
