How 3D Secure Works
Our 3DS system is designed to be as seamless as it is secure. When you make a purchase at a participating online merchant, follow these three simple steps:
Shop as Usual: Enter your card details at the checkout.
Instant Notification: If the transaction requires verification, a prompt will appear. Simply open your wamo app on your mobile device.
One-Tap Approval: Review the payment details (amount and merchant) and tap Confirm. Your transaction will be authorized instantly.
Understanding 3DS Verification
Which payments require 3DS?
Not every payment requires this extra step. 3DS is typically triggered during higher-value transactions or when our security system identifies a need for additional verification. It is a digital "handshake" that confirms you are the one holding the card.
Why can’t I approve a payment?
If you find yourself unable to approve a 3DS request, it is usually due to one of the following:
Account Status: If your account is currently frozen or closed, 3DS approvals will be disabled for your protection.
Connectivity: Ensure your mobile device has a stable internet connection and that notifications are enabled for the wamo app.
