Team Member Roles & Permissions
Access levels are role-based, ensuring that your team only sees and does what is necessary for their job.
Access Level | Permissions | Money/Card Access |
Director | Full administrative access. | Can send/receive money and create cards. |
Manager & Accountant | View all accounts, balances, and cards. Can add/edit other team members. | Cannot send/request payments or create cards. |
Employee | View-only access to specific sub-accounts. Can download payment confirmations. | Cannot see total balance, generate statements, or move money. |
Plan Limits: The Freemium and Start plans allow for one additional team member. To add more staff, consider upgrading to the Grow or Scale plans.
How to Add a Team Member
When you add a member, they will receive an email invitation with instructions to set up their own login for the wamo desktop and mobile apps.
On Desktop:
Navigate to Team Members on the left-hand menu.
Select + Add Team Member.
Enter their details and choose their Access Level.
On Mobile App:
Tap your Profile icon (top left) to find the Team Members section.
Select + Add New Team Member.
Fill in the required information and tap Invite.
Managing Specific Access
Restricting Sub-Accounts
You can limit an Employee to only see certain sub-accounts. For example, your marketing lead can be restricted to only seeing the "Advertising" sub-account, keeping your main payroll or tax accounts private.
Note: Currently, Manager and Accountant roles have a view of all accounts. If you'd like more granular control for these roles, please let us know via chat!
Giving Access to Your Accountant
Save time on bookkeeping by inviting your accountant with Manager & Accountant access. This allows them to log in and generate their own monthly statements and reports without needing you to download them manually.
Revoking Access
Permissions can be edited or revoked instantly. If a team member leaves your business, simply go to the Team Members section, select their profile, and click Revoke Access to remove them from your wamo account immediately.
