You can request an change to your email address, phone number, or both contact details simultaneously directly through the wamo app. For security, this involves a multi-step verification process.

Update: Ensure you are using the latest version of wamo business from the App Store or Google Play.
βNotifications & Spam: To ensure you receive your verification codes and status updates, please make sure app notifications are enabled and remember to check your spam folder for emails.
How to change your email address
Open Settings: Tap your profile icon/initials in the top corner and select 'Personal profile'.
βStart Request: Tap the 'Edit' or 'Change' button (indicated by a pencil icon) next to your email address or phone number.
Note: If you cannot see the icon, ensure you are looking directly to the right of your current contact detail.

Verify your current number: You will receive a 6-digit code via SMS to your currently registered phone number to confirm the action was taken by the applicant themselves. Enter it to proceed.
βVerify your identity: You will be prompted to verify your ID. Follow the on-screen instructions.
βEnter new email address: Input your new email address.
βVerify new email address: Enter the verification code sent to your new email inbox.
βReview: Your request will be sent for review.This usually takes 1β3 minutes. You can track the status in your profile; it will show as 'Reviewing' until approved.
βOnce your request is completed, we will notify you via push notification and email.
How to change your phone number
Navigate to Profile: Go to 'Personal profile' in your settings.
βStart Request: Tap 'Change' next to your phone number.
βCheck your email: A verification code will be sent to your registered email address to confirm the action was taken by the applicant themselves. Enter this code in the app.
βVerify your identity: You will be prompted to verify your ID. Follow the on-screen instructions.
βEnter new phone number: Type in your new mobile number.
βVerify new phone number: Enter the 6-digit code sent to your new phone number.
βReview: Your request will be sent for review.This usually takes 1β3 minutes. You can track the status in your profile; it will show as 'Reviewing' until approved.

I've lost access to my email or phone
If you are unable to log in because you no longer have access to your registered email address or phone number, please follow the steps below to regain access to your account:

βProvide the following details:
Specify which information needs updating (Email, Phone Number, or both).
The reason for the change request.
If you are updating your phone number, please include the new number along with the Country Code.

Identity Verification: To ensure your account remains secure, we require a manual identity check. Please attach a clear photo of yourself holding your physical ID or Passport next to your face.

βNote: Ensure your face is fully visible and that all details on the ID (name, photo, and ID number) are sharp and easy to read.
Once you have provided this information, your request will be escalated to a support specialist who will verify your identity and help you regain access to your account.

If the app isn't behaving as expected:
Clear Cache: If you encounter minor technical issues, try clearing the app's cache in your phone's settings or reinstalling the app.
