How do I add a bill? Forward, upload or create manually

Click Add new bill in the top-right corner of Payables. You can capture an invoice three ways, and each one creates a coded Draft for the AP Trust Agent to inspect.

Accepted files

Whether you forward or upload, wamo reads PDF, PNG and JPG files up to 20 MB each. Word, Excel and CSV files are not supported. Each file becomes its own draft.

1. Forward an email

Forward the invoice, attached to the email, to your AP inbox address. The agent reads it, extracts the details and creates the draft automatically. Several invoices in one email are split into separate drafts. This is the fastest option, and the only one you can automate — see [Link: How does the AP inbox work? Forwarding invoices by email].

2. Upload invoices

Drag and drop your files, or click to browse. The agent codes each file into its own draft in seconds, extracting the line items and coded fields so the draft is ready to review.

3. Create without invoice

Enter the bill details manually when there is no source document. Because there is nothing to read, the agent cannot extract or match anything on a manually created bill — you fill in the vendor, dates, amounts and line items yourself, and assign the vendor.

Whichever method you use, the bill lands as a Draft for the agent to inspect before it moves through your workflow. Next: [Link: How do I review and edit a bill before submitting it?].

Frequently asked questions

Can I add several bills at once? Yes — attach several invoices to one email, or select several files when uploading. Each becomes a separate draft.

I added the same invoice twice. The agent flags possible duplicates as Missing info so they are not paid twice — see [Link: Trust & Compliance: how wamo checks every bill]. Cancel the duplicate.

My invoice is a Word or Excel file. Save or export it as a PDF first, then forward or upload it.
