The AP Trust Agent does not just read your invoices — it checks them. Open the Trust & Compliance tab on any bill to see the agent's confidence level and the result of each automated check. A warning holds the bill for a person to look at before it can be paid.
The checks the agent runs
Check | What the agent verifies |
Vendor match | That the bill is linked to a vendor already saved on your account. Most scanned invoices are linked automatically; new or unclear vendors are assigned by you. |
Payment details | The bank and payment information on the bill. |
Payee check (VoP / CoP) | Verification of Payee, also called Confirmation of Payee — that the payee name matches the bank account details on the bill. |
Anomaly detection | Unusual amounts, possible duplicate invoices, and anything outside your normal pattern. |
How vendor matching works
When an invoice is scanned, wamo tries to link it to an existing vendor using the details on the invoice. If there is one clear match, the vendor is linked for you.
You assign the vendor yourself when:
the vendor is new to your account,
there is more than one possible match, or
you created the bill manually.
The Assign step pre-fills most of the details, and once a vendor is saved, future invoices from them link automatically.
Confidence levels and warnings
Each bill shows a confidence level reflecting how reliable the extracted data and the checks are. The lower the confidence, the more carefully you should compare the bill with the original invoice before submitting.
When everything passes, the bill moves on towards approval. When a check raises a warning — a mismatched payee, missing payment details or a possible duplicate — the bill is held as Missing info so a person can review and resolve it. No payment is made in the meantime.
What to do when a bill is held as Missing info
1. Open the bill and go to the Trust & Compliance tab to see which check raised the warning.
2. Fix the cause — assign or correct the vendor, add the missing payment details, or cancel a duplicate.
3. Review the bill again and submit it as normal.
Frequently asked questions
A genuine invoice was flagged as a possible duplicate. Compare the two bills. If the invoice number, amount and date differ, it is not a duplicate — check the details are correct and continue. If you are unsure, contact us through the in-app chat.
My vendor's bank details changed and the payee check failed. Confirm the new details with the vendor using a phone number or contact you already hold — never the details on the new invoice itself — then update their profile. See [Link: How do I manage vendors in Payables?].
